What is Civils Notes?
A place to prepare for UPSC Civil Services Prelims: study notes, practice questions from GS and CSAT past papers, timed mock tests and daily current affairs, all organised by the official syllabus.
Is it free?
Yes, to start. Every note and the daily current affairs digest are free to read without an account. With a free account you can practise 10 questions a day and keep your progress, bookmarks and notebook.
What does full access add?
Up to 300 new questions a day on the Yearly plan (100 on the Monthly), every question in the bank, timed full-length mock tests with scores, and the full current affairs archive with monthly compilations. It also includes original questions written only for members, modelled on our analysis of 10 years of Prelims papers: the same question formats, the same mix of easy and hard, and the same kinds of traps.
How much does it cost, and for how long?
Two plans, each a single payment: the Yearly plan at ₹999 lasts one year from the day you buy, and the Monthly plan at ₹199 lasts 30 days. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
Are these the actual UPSC questions?
Each past-paper question is written fresh to test the same fact as the real exam question, with the year and paper it comes from. None is copied word for word from the official paper, and every answer is checked against UPSC's official answer key.
Does it help with Mains?
The questions are for Prelims. For Mains, 77 notes have an "In depth" view with the arguments and debates GS2 and GS3 ask for.
